We received several inquiries about railroad lines in the Redoubt. Where are they? How busy are they? Here’s an excellent new resource to answer those questions.

OpenRailwayMap.org is like the GoogleMaps of railroads around the globe. It has several clever features like a default to all non-rail map data in grayscale, making the rail info really stand out. It intelligently adjusts the rail detail level as you zoom in.

If you scan over to the Redoubt region, at the state level you can see just the major railways. As you zoom down to a neighborhood or property level, you can see details such as whether a particular railway is still active, and who owns it.

We’ve placed this new resource in the “Resources” menu under “Maps->USA Overview” and titled it “Railroad Maps.” Check out our resource for example images, or start exploring the linked maps!
